About Our Products
All pieces sold by The Closet Story are handcrafted by skilled artisans across India. Each piece is unique. Minor variations in colour, embroidery placement, fabric texture, and finish are inherent to the handmade process and are not considered defects. These variations are a mark of authenticity and artisanal craft — not a flaw.
Colour disclaimer: Colours displayed on screen are representative only. Actual colours may vary slightly due to differences in device displays, screen calibration, and lighting conditions at the time of photography. We recommend WhatsApp-ing us for a fabric swatch or video before purchasing if colour accuracy is critical to your decision.
Orders & Payment
An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed through Razorpay. You will receive a confirmation email and we will follow up on WhatsApp within 24 hours to confirm delivery details.
All prices are listed and charged in Indian Rupees (INR), inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Price indicators in other currencies are approximate conversions for reference only and do not constitute the actual charge. The Closet Story reserves the right to correct pricing errors at any time before an order is dispatched.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or local charges levied by their country's authorities upon arrival of the parcel. These are not included in the product price or shipping fee.
Shipping & Delivery
Domestic (India)
- —Free shipping on all orders above ₹5,000. A flat shipping charge applies to orders below ₹5,000.
- —All pieces are handcrafted to order. Please allow 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch. We will keep you updated throughout.
- —Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier delays, public holidays, or circumstances beyond our control.
- —Once dispatched, a tracking link will be shared via WhatsApp or email.
International
- —We ship internationally to most countries. Please WhatsApp us before placing an order so we can confirm shipping availability and cost to your location.
- —International shipping fees are calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination country — these will be communicated to you before payment.
- —Estimated delivery for international orders is 7–21 business days depending on destination and customs clearance.
- —All customs duties, import taxes, and local handling charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. We are not liable for delays caused by customs authorities.
- —Once dispatched, a tracking number will be shared. International shipments may be subject to additional scrutiny at customs.
Refund & Return Policy
Please read this section carefully before placing an order.
No Returns for Change of Mind
We do not accept returns or issue refunds for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or if the piece does not match your expectations based on personal taste. We strongly encourage customers to WhatsApp us before purchasing for detailed photos, videos, fabric samples, or styling guidance.
No Refunds on Custom / Bespoke Orders
Custom orders, made-to-order pieces, and any orders where specific measurements, colours, or modifications have been requested are strictly non-refundable once production has commenced. The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of measurements and specifications provided at the time of order.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery via WhatsApp (+91 79058 03272) with clear photographs of the item and packaging. We will assess the claim and, at our sole discretion, offer a replacement, store credit, or repair. Claims made after 48 hours of delivery will not be entertained.
Care & Handling
All handcrafted pieces require appropriate care. Instructions are provided with each order. The Closet Story is not responsible for damage caused by improper washing, handling, storage, or alteration by the customer or a third-party tailor.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India, and governed by the laws of India.
Intellectual Property
All images, designs, text, and content on this website are the property of The Closet Story. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
The Closet Story's liability is limited strictly to the value of the order placed. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of occasion, inconvenience, or emotional distress. We make every effort to ensure accuracy of product descriptions and availability but do not warrant that the website will be error-free or uninterrupted.
